MOSS ART WORKSHOP

What is moss art?

Moss art is art that is created using fresh, dried or preserved moss. For this workshop, we'll focus on creating a framed 9"x9" work of art using preserved moss. Why preserved moss? IT'S MAINTENANCE FREE! This moss doesn't want to be watered, it doesn't want sunlight. You literally hang it on the wall and never worry about it again. It's the easiest way to incorporate greenery/plants into your home, no matter what your plant parent skills are like!

In this workshop we will show you how to make your very own moss art and tell you about some of the various tips and tricks used to assist you on your creative journey. Everything you need to make your moss art will be provided in this workshop including:

• Wood frame: some stained, some natural

• Different types and colors of preserved moss

• Hot glue 

• Natural embellishments (feel free to bring some of your own if there is something specific you'd like to incorporate)

• Gloves

• Drawing materials 

• Examples

• (1) Wine or (1) beer and light snacks will be included in the cost of the ticket.

We'll provide gloves and have a sink to clean up after you've made your moss art but since you will be using preserved moss that has been dyed, it is recommended that you dress accordingly in case the dye transfers to your clothing. Feel free to bring an apron or smock with you to protect your clothes if you feel like you might get messy.

PLEASE NOTE: All workshops are subject to cancellation if we do not meet the minimum number of participants. We will refund your ticket if this is the case. Please help us to avoid such a situation by sharing the evnet with your friends.

COVID: We will be adhering to Covid guidlines. Since these workshops are planned months out, the workshop is subject to cancellation if we feel it would be difficult to condut a workshop safely. In the event we need to cancel the workshop due to Covid, we will refund your tickets. Please bring a mask and be preparred to wear it, even if you are vaccinated. We will do our best to space out the tables and chairs according to group sizes.
