LIGHT
Needs bright, indirect light. Keep in an eastern, southern, or western window. Leaves will burn if exposed to too much direct light.
WATER
Coffee plants do well with regular watering. Soil should be evenly moist but not waterlogged. Don't let soil dry out in-between watering. Enjoys a humid environment, mist regularly or use a humidity tray.
TIPS
- Leaves will droop when it needs more water.
- Fertilize every 2-3 months during spring and summer, do not fertilize during winter dormancy.
- Will not bear flowers or berries for 3-5 years. Conditions must be favorable in order for it to do so. Quantity of beans produced will probably not be substantial enough to consume, although in ideal conditions, it may produce up to 2oz of dry coffee.
TOXICITY
Keep out of reach of pets and children. All parts of plant are toxic if consumed, except the mature beans when consumed by humans.
