RHAPHIDOPHORA TETRASPERMA (MONSTERA MINIMA)

Moderately rare split-leaf tropical aroid with beautiful green leaves similiar in appearance to the Monstera Deliciosa but with a different growth and leaf pattern. Often refered to as Monstera Minima or Mini Monstera but not an actual Monstera.

 

Botanical Name: Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma

Common Names: Monstera Minima, Ginny or Mini Monstera

Native to Southern Thailand & Malaysia

The 4" Small is just under 1 foot tall, no fenestrations.

The 4" Regular has foliage that is just under 1 foot tall with fenestrations.

The 4" Medium has one long upward strand, just under 2.5 feet tall!

The 4" Large has one long upward strand right around 3.5 feet tall!

  • Light

    Thrives in bright indirect light. Not suited for intense, direct sun. 

  • Water

    Prefers evenly moist soil but not soggy. Don't allow the soil to completely dry out. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Thoroughly water the soil so the water runs through the bottom of the pot. Do not allow the plant to sit in water.

  • Tips

    • Rotate often to ensure even growth.
    • Add a moss pole as they grow so the aerial roots can attach and the plant will be supported. 
    • Dust leaves with a damp cloth, support underside of leaf with your other hand.
    • Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer.
  • Toxicity

    This plant is considered toxic to pets and humans.
