0/125
LIGHT
Needs bright, filtered or indirect light. A few hours of direct morning light is good but protect from hot afternoon sun. Will rapidly deteriorate in dim lighting. Keep away from drafts and temps below 60 degrees.
WATER
Water thoroughly and allow to dry out moderately in between waterings. Avoid overwatering. Reduce watering from fall to late winter.
TIPS
- Fiddle-Leaf Figs can live to around 10 years if taken care of properly! Trim to maintain desired shape or height. Cutting the top will force a bushier growth of the plant. Can be trained to be a single trunk tree or bush.
- Fertilize once a month with a liquid fertilizer. Don't fertilize during winter months.
- Once a month, thoroughly water the plant to flush out any salts, toxins, or impurities that build up in the soil. Ficus are also sensitive to chemicals.
TOXICITY
Keep out of reach of pets and children. Leaves are toxic if consumed. Avoid exposure to the sap secreted from a freshly cut leaf or stem, may cause skin irritation.
