PHILODENDRON BRANDTIANUM
Climbing or trailing Philodendron.
Scientific Name: Philodendron Brandtianum
Common Name: Philodendron brandi, Silver Leaf Philodendron
Native to: tropical rainforests of Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Colombia
Family: Araceae
*This plant is considered toxic.
Light
Thrives in bright indirect light. The variegated leaves need brighter light than solid green leaves do but be cautious of direct sun as the leaves can easily burn.
Water
Water when the top half of soil goes dry. Don't water too often that the soil becomes waterlogged, always test the soil with an uncoated chopstick before watering. As with other Philodendrons, the higher humidity, the happier the plant. We recommend at least 60% humidity.
Tips
- Rotate often to ensure even growth.
- Prefers medium to high humidity. Use a pebble tray or humidifier to increase humidity.
- Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer.
